Peroni - gig guide

Peroni Nastro Azzurro celebrates the best of Italy with Strada Peroni.

4th Avenue in Parkhurst was alive with the best of Italy on 21st March,

courtesy of Peroni Nastro Azzurro.

The street party had people from all over Johannesburg sipping on crisp

Peronis and dining at some of South Africa’s finest restaurants. This

celebration of all things Italian had people partying up a storm into the

late hours of the night.

Peroni chef, Craig Hounsom, once again had taste buds begging for more with

his classic Italian cuisine, which complimented the cool taste of Peroni

Nastro Azzuro. Participating outlets included Botega’s, George’s on 4th,

Full Stop Café, The Attic and Europa, among others.

Celebrating the best of Italian life wouldn’t be complete without

entertainment, celebrities and the paparazzi. DJ Ed was there, accompanied

by the sounds of the sax and the guitar, and roaming street musicians

brought fresh sounds to Strada Peroni. Local celebrities reveling in the

festivities included model and ex Miss South Africa Claudia Henkel, Idols singer Graeme

Watkins and Mr SA Finalist Devon Brough.

“Italy is synonymous with timeless design and style,” says Peroni brand

manager Lorna Pretorius, “and Strada Peroni has brought la dolce vita to

4th Avenue, Parkhurst.”
